I have received an email from eon next telling me that my tariff rates are increasing in January. I have a fixed contract until October 2024 so cannot understand this latest message. I have asked eon for an explanation, but they have not responded.

What is your fixed contract called ?
Edit: The reason I ask is that Next Pledge Tracker is only fixed in so far as the rates are set slightly below the cap ( i.e. Next Flex) but the Next Pledge Tracker rates will change WEF January 1st/April 1st etc (as will Next Flex).

@Mailman. My tariff is Next Pledge Tracker. In the Terms and Conditions sent to me you say "Section 11. Terms and conditions for fixed term tariffs. Section 11. 2. Your prices are shown in your confirmation letter. These prices and your terms and conditions will stay the same until the end date (23/10/2024) shown in your confirmation letter.
As I suspected. Next Pledge Tracker just tracks the Next Flex rates (but is £50 p.a) lower effectively. You state 'terms and conditions' but I think you should find references to exactly how the Next Pledge tariff tracks. It is my understanding that the Next Flex tariff rates change every 3 months (1st Jan/1st April/1st July) and Next Pledge Tracker follows the same 3-monthly tariff change that Next Flex does (but it is a little bit lower).
