That was close. Just saw an email from a couple of hours ago inviting me to an event this evening from 5-6pm (25 mins time). No time for planning but I’ll give it a go.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

I think this is the first time that NGESO have initiated a same day (pm) notification to participants.
Before you ask the answer is NO 😪
Best of luck for this event though 👍 - I shall steer all queries re this particular DFS test event your way 😎😁
@Han_EONNext I've never hand a results email. Today will be the third time I've taken part. I get the email to take part, I get the your in screen when I agree to take part, I get a reminder before the timeslot, but never a result. Would be nice to know how we're doing. Many thanks
Information on the results emails has improved in as much as they put the date of the event on now. There is still room for improvement overall though. On the invitations it used to specify (wrongly) that the average usage the event would be based on was the previous 8 days. They have now changed that to, 'Target: reduce your electricity usage by 20%' which is clear enough, followed by, '*Based on your typical usage during the event window over the past few weeks'.
I was having some success working out my typical usage using the past 10 weekdays (during weekday events) excluding event days but on the event of 12 Dec I used my trusty formula to work out I had reduced by 52% and could expect a reward of £1. My results email told me I had reduced by 56% and was awarded £1.20. That's good news of course but whereas all my other calculations are only out by a maximum of 1% (no doubt due to rounding) I think 4% out is too big an error.
More accurate info on the actual amount of days the typical usage is based on would be good. Also it would be good to know how much in kWh we reduced by and how much money per kWh reduction we get rewarded for. I'm not suggesting we're being diddled but it would be nice to have some transparency as to how it's all worked out so we can trust the whole scheme.
