i have double checked and the week starts on the Monday, which makes sense... and entirely in line with your figures mines abt 34 kwh per day.... but then i click week so far and its says 130kwh used for Monday and half of Tuesday, bit worrying as nothing changed in usage
IHD figures change

thanks Joe - no its defo a major discrepancy between the daily shown figures and the week so far figures - just does not add up

But the IHD should, even if the tariffs aren't correct.
I used ten litres of heating oil this week, or 115kWh for a total cost of just over £6.20. Taking the average gas cap rate of 7.2p/kWh, gas would have cost me about £8.28 without adding on the standing charges. Standing charges would add on another £2 and change a week.
Hopefully @Mailman your new loft insulation should start having an impact 🤞.Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -

Just rechecked my IHD and for the weekly total it states 60.00 kWh exactly what I used from 0000 yesterday (35.31kWh) MONDAY and so far today (24.69kWh) TUESDAY. I am happy that the numbers I record daily every morning (for the previous day's usage) are fairly accurate in terms of kWh used. BTW the weekly electricity ones exhibit the same behaviour. The weekly one and the yearly one, I've never paid any attention to as I keep daily records.Last edited by Mailman; 28-11-23 at 15:16. Reason: Days mixed up and edited accordingly

yeah agree 100% - this is why its so bizarre - yesterday daily shows 34kwh today so far 3.9 (we have not had heating on yet) so expecting around 38 but in week so far and its says 130!! 😪
ive mailed EON and now put the heating on as no point freezing and getting the hump -
The IHD certainly does and enables me to check the meter reads from the comfort of my chair with fingers poised on the keyboard and spreadsheet open 😁.
Re the insulation I think it might be especially in our lounge which seems to hold its heat well during the evening. Difficult to say for sure as I got it finished (for now) the day before the temperatures started dropping dramatically in Co Durham. -
Just checked on the Bright app and it says I used 102kWh of gas yesterday against 96kWh on the IHD... oh well, nothing's perfect. On the IHD yesterday's and today's consumption so far tallies with the figure for the week so far. Amended previous post to say my weekly total so far is 155kWh of gas and not the 180ish I thought it was. I'm getting old you know.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

I'd be inclined to concentrate in terms of how many kWh of heating you are happy to use each day rather than worrying about the weekly usage figure. With temperatures expected to dip even lower where I live over the next week, I doubt if I can use less than 40kWh/day and it might get as high as 50kWh/day. -
