Hi E.On community,
I've recently been sent an email, with my correct account number and FiT ID number, asking for a picture of my feed in tariff meter.
I goes on to say its an obligation I need to do every 2 years to validate my FiT account.
Anyone had this request from E.ON Next Team?
Thanks,
Jason
That is usual for home rooftop solar photovoltaic generators if the installation was in time before the application deadline of 31 March 2019 for "feed in tariff". I get a similar request from a different electricity company, and though it says on the letter 'every two years' I don't remember having that many.
Photographing your feed in tariff meter is a sensible thing to do because it makes a dated record which you own, should there ever be some mixup with the records and payments.
So, do check that the company whom you are sending your photo to are the company who pay your feed in tariff. Then that is usual.
I understand this is a pretty standard thing. Unless you have a smart meter capable of automatically providing export reads, manual readings and regular revalidation are part of he FiT requirements.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Ok thanks both, just checking as I’m not seeing this message come up on my messages on my account when I log in, only via see it on email so seemed a bit odd.
