Following a short power outage yesterday my IHD now displays the dreaded ‘Waiting for current data’ message. It also shows a flashing Wireless signal strength symbol.
I have tried powering off the display waiting 5 minutes and moving it next to the meters, before powering it back on but this has not resolved the issue.

Who do I speak to in Eon to resolve this?
Did you let the battery go flat before switching back on?
I don’t think so as it was only a short power outage of less than 1 hour.
It's worth unplugging your IHD, let the battery in it go flat, then move as near as you can to the comms hub / meter, then plug back in and switch IHD back on.
Allow about half an hour to connect.

Reason: More information
@LRHOver some great advice by @WizzyWigg- How long did you leave the IHD near the meter to reconnect? How far from the meters do you usually place the IHD?
🌳Together we can work to achieve a more sustainable Future 🌳
A couple of hours. The IHD usually sits about 20 feet from the meters, which has not been a problem in the past. It’s now sitting 3 feet from the meters and still not connecting.

Turn off your WiFi router if you have one for about 30 minutes and put any devices into flight mode. That way, you'll reduce the amount of 2.4GHz RF floating about the house and give the IHD a better chance of establishing a connection. If it reconnects ok, then turn all the WiFi back on again. It may not work but it will give the IHD and comms hub a fighting chance.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Alas the WiFi router fix did not work either. Does anyone think a remote switch of the communications hub off and on again might resolve. And how interested might Eon be in doing this? I’m thinking not very interested, especially if my Smarts are still sending readings to them, which i think they are.
The best way to reset a hub is to power cycle it. That involves a meter engineer pulling the DNO fuse, counting to ten, and putting it back in again. Not something they are going to want to send an engineer out for. There are other ways to do it but they are not recommended and also slightly illegal.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
