If so, what is the cap? I called but couldnt get the answer.
Does the Next Pledge Tariff Cap Gas unit prices as it does for Electricity?

@MAW
The Next Pledge fixed 1 year tracker tariff guarantees that prices will always be £50 a year lower than the Ofgem price cap (for an average duel fuel customer). Customers will see the £50 saving as reduced unit rates split across both electricity and gas (£25 saving per fuel).Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
SOrry, I dont know what that means. Do you know what the unit price for gas is under Next Pledge? Averaging it out over both fuels for the average user is a word salald.

I tried to get a quote for my region in my online account and got this message...
Existing customers
If you’re an existing customer and you want to renew your tariff then you’ll need to log in to your account and renew your tariff there. Please note, to renew online your tariff needs to be ending in the next 45 days or be on a variable tariff, otherwise you’ll need to call us on 0808 501 5200.
There's a Martin Lewis article on the Next Pledge Tracker 12m v2 in the link below with some rates for the South West region...

This link will help with what is the current Energy Price Cap:

The standing charge is way higher and the unit rate of gas I can see but theres no information on what the cap on that price is. The fact they completely avoid tellings us this tells me this is something to avoid.

@MAW Sorry just added the article about the Energy Cap from Oct 2023 to my post.

Yep. It sounds like a scam to me. It might do this, it might do that, it might do the other... just total garbage. Theyve had nearly a whole year with wholesale energy prices at 2019 levels and weve got the same bills this winter coming as we had last winter.
Ive got time today to sort this out because its Saturday and the lazy so-and-sos are working today. £billion company with worse customer service hours than my local corner shop.
