so the meter information is getting to the communications hub but not to your supplier. All communication nowadays goes through the DCC and they have attempted to migrate the older meters onto their network by remote action and that has been successful in millions of cases, but many more cannot be ported, although efforts still continue. As your electricity data wasn’t mentioned I assume that is getting through. Eventually all these dumb meters and hubs will be replaced but progress is slow, as there are no penalties on suppliers for not rectifying the issue.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
the gas meter should send readings to the communications hub which is attached to the electricity meter and then on. The battery in the gas meter could be failing or it could be some sort of downstream issue. Can you still get readings from the actual meter? Can you also see the readings on the in home display? Have you contacted customer services?
yes i can get actual reading by pressing A button, home display also shows usage, but it is the old npower one, i have been looking where to contact, but i got to the page where i input gas meter number, and it says that no issue with the meter
