I got a renewal rate in September. My contract finishes at the end of October. Accepted an offer from Utility Warehouse. Written details not correct. Got a good offer from British Gas. If I were to consider buying an EV in the Future I could get the EV rate. Great Signed up. Have to wait a week to get written confirmation. They say you must already have an EV to get this rate. Just cancelled this contract within the 14 days.
Now back to EON . Helpful staff who are being kept in the dark regarding new Economy 7 and 10 types of accounts. I now find that as I am all Electric, Have battery packs to charge, in all day and can be flexible with my usagea type 10 package would suit. Implications that this exists but staff unaware or cannot access it.
Today found a whole range of new rated mostly stating (Only available to eligible customer Next Winter Support 50 ? )no explanation who this might apply to..
It also appears there is a massive communication gap in that there is now a wide range of companies offering Home Battery Banks and no one offering rates. ( Teslar being the biggest) So whats going on.
It appears that I need to buy a totally nackered EV register it. Claim the special rates then lose it.. just to get a decent rate. you should not do this disclaimer. They are all nuts
This link might help explain the Winter support scheme. To get a reduction of 50% you have to be in debt and not credit on your balance. There is a 25% discount if you meet all the criteria and are in credit.
@WizzyWigg Had a long conversation today with a EON Rep. Information is being concealed from them as to what is going wrong. I have an EON Next Price list starting 1/10/2023 listing all the british Supply areas and what that the charge is for Economy 7 and 10 price range, but the Rep has no access.
The kid on also seem to cover what smart meters can do and not do. Running two price ranges is easy when you have an EV but not anything else.
I have a friend just had a new Smart Meter fitted and runs her old economy 7 system no problem. Lots of misdirection going on.
