Go via the online account - that should be correct as you will see on your next statement. The IHD is just a guide to the costs and the tariff update seldom updates as quickly as we would like either on the IHD or the meter.

It is now October 6th and my smart meter is still showing the higher tariff of previous months. Does this mean I am being charged the higher rate?

You can send an email entitled 'Smart Meter/IHD Tariff Update Request' to hi@eonnext.com and put your account and personal details in the text. Once the email is answered, normally the same day or the day after for this request in my experience, the update should happen that night after midnight.
