Annual energy bills for a typical household are expected to fall by £268 in April, a new forecast suggests.
I wish they'd stop with this 'typical household' nonsense and just tell us what the tariffs will be. I don't think I know any 'typical households'.
My energy bill is around £1000 a year. I won't be saving £268 a year, that's for sure. Plus the 'per year' bit is nonsense if they keep changing the cap every three months.
Just tell us what we need to know. The new SC and per unit prices!!! The mythical 'typical household' means nothing in the real world.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I tend to agree. But you and I and others here do not represent the vast majority of people (including many journalists) who don’t know their elbow from their nether regions and prefer to work in simple generalities.
OFGEM do quote in their releases, likely average unit prices, but due to regionalisation they too don’t meet our needs. But at least we can get to the details because we’re savvy customers.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Can someone please confirm about the £75 exit fee per fuel .I understood it was only if you changed supplier but I am now bring advised by a customer service agent that if I moved now to Next 12m v6 and then wished to change in April when the tariffs reduce, I would have to pay £75 per fuel as they say it is an internal exit fee. When was this brought in?

V4 says if you change supplier exit fees applies. If you look at the latest T&Cs you may pay exit fees if you change deal.
No exit fee if you stay with Eon Next on V4 but could be on V6.

Reason: Extra information
Thanks WizzyWigg. I am trying to get confirmation regarding exit fees on fixed 12m v6
Maybe an Eon next customer service person could show the actual terms.

Looks like they do.
Electricity backed by 100% renewable sources, E.ON's renewable generation assets, agreements with UK generators and the purchase of renewable electricity certificates. The electricity supplied to your home comes from the National Grid. Fixed term contracts only. Smart meter required, where eligible. Exit fees and T&Cs apply
