Has anyone got any info as to why the app is no longer working? Given the widespread use of apps these days it seems strange that the support team just say that "you can get everything from the website instead"!
You are right we are unfortunately becoming reliant on apps. Not always necessarily for the best. Some older operating systems cannot handle the changes in encryption services. These changes are a necessary evil of modern day security requirements. Admittedly this is only one of many reasons. It's not quite true there is one thing you can't do at the moment on the website is view usage.
Agreed - although in terms of the encryption changes all of my banking apps seem to still be able to work ๐ - I sort of suspect that they are more secure than the EON app - so the operating system cannot be too far out of date.
Have to admit that I have always used the website more than the app anyway - I use Loop for usage when I need to, although I record the usage off my smart meter anyway, so I can process it myself.

It also doesn't work properly with modern mobiles (Android-13) - Google made file access security more stringent with Android-11, so the app doesn't allow download of bills as incorrect file-access permissions.
EOn app is the only one with these issues - every other app works fine, so its not a phone issue!

Okay dokey. ๐. Glad my phone runs on Android 11 and doesn't have that problem. They'll be no rush to change it then. Money saved again. ๐ Saying all that never bother using phone to download anyway. ๐

Yep but doesn't have a problem on my Android 11 cheapo phone. I seems to be able to save anywhere. Isn't modern/old technology great ๐. I know this is not relevant to you and me but only just noticed the Eon Next app now requires min of Android 7. I'm sure it was 5 a few weeks back. ๐
