Energy Shift Winter 2023/2024

Thanks for the link. So EON will get £3/kWh. I wonder how much of that get passed through after 'administration charges'?

Most if not all of it.
I did some calculations last year during the January event using IDA (in-day adjustment) and the final reward was in the right ball park. With no IDA these numbers will be easier to work out. -
Morning @StillWaiting
At the moment we don't have the dates confirmed however it might be worth keeping an eye on this forum board (you can subscribe to the forum by clicking the 3 dots at the top) as we will update everyone as soon as we have the information 😊"Green is the prime colour of the world and that from which it's loveliness arises"-Pedro Calderon De La Barca 🌳

So just over 2 weeks till November and the start of DFS, and I've heard nothing from EON. Has anyone else had any confirmation from EON yet?
-
@StillWaiting, we are still waiting to hear more about this year however as soon as we have an update we will pop out an update 😊

Do you have a web link with more detail information yet, as it seems a few suppliers (seems to be the app based ones like Hugo) will also pay if you push power back into the grid as well. So if you have a battery you get payment for both reducing your use, plus what you put back into the grid. The main provisio is the export reading should be captured every 30 mins as well as the import reading for this. Does EONNext also capture the export reading as well? I only have confirmation that Octopus does at the moment.
I've not seen anything about the first actual date yet, but if it is 6 sessions over 2 months that is about 1 every 2 weeks. -
Yes a couple or so each month.
Don't know about the export but may be buried in the document linked below.
If last winter was anything to go by dates were only announced the day before the 'event'. This year you may well see DFS notifications sent out 'same day AM' and 'same day PM, in addition to 'day before'. At least that is my understanding. See the document in this post
You can wade through the latest ESO Procurement Rules Document but in terms of timings and notifications it appears that section 10.3 is going to be followed.
These DFS service notifications will appear (in the first instance) via the ESO Data Portal and then shortly thereafter by the energy suppliers/participants.
Rewards this winter will be somewhat reduced for customers able to 'game the system' because in-day adjustment (used in 2022/23) will no longer be used in the reward caluculation.Last edited by Mailman; 26-10-23 at 22:23.

Perhaps I'm reading the data wrong (released 30/10) but looks the the possible dates are 5/11, 14/11, 30/11, 9/12, 14/12, 29/12*, 16/1*, 26/1, 2/2*, 10/2, 24/2.
Those marked * appear to be live rather than test and don't appear to be guaranteed £3 per kW
So EON have 6 days to get their act together.Last edited by StillWaiting; 30-10-23 at 14:55.

I see where you are getting these dates from and on the face of it you are correct. However the dataset link also states

Who do I need to contact at EON to get export data made available to the open network. Hugo can't see my export data?

(under export incentives, seems to be more information available than EON at the moment)Last edited by StillWaiting; 03-11-23 at 17:13.
