It's not an automatic process that when you change tariff, they reduce your payments. A phone call to Customer Services will sort that for you.

If you use the estimated annual usage from your bill, apply your new tariff rates and take account of your credit/debit balance then you can use the resulting projected annual cost divided by 12 to get the right amount of monthly DD applied when you contact them. They can’t really argue with the facts 🤞
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
