Gas reads started going belly up some time last year & when I signed into E.on next there was a message requesting manual reads on our gas meter ( our IHD did continue to show usage against the wrong gas price tho … electric has always shown correctly, price & everything ! ) this is why we commenced sending manual reads through ourselves, then; with the April price fix suddenly ‘out of the blue’ updating into our IHD’s settings we thought all was back & working etc, how wrong we were!
I previously tried powering down our IHD, resetting the thing & everything else customer services advised at the time but nothing worked, so we gave up on it.
I’ll try getting in touch with customer services again …….. might be worth another go 🤔
Bottom line is that it’s not working. This is essentially a trust matter - do you believe what you’ve been told. And what happens later in the year when it remains unfixed?
there is unfortunately no compensation in these circumstances for these system failures - if there were they’d be fixed quicker.
