Is it possible to get a paper statement posted once a year or so on proper EoN paper ?
Anything printed at home gets smudgy ink and looks to a bank like potentially a fake.
That would serve two purposes:
i) proof of address for banks
They sometimes want a utility bill showing my home address.
ii) proof of credit rating
Being a diligent CO2 saver, see energy saver tips in the 'sustainable' part of this forum, I've been consistently using less electricity than the winter 2022 £66 per month give-away. I haven't paid EoN a penny since September last year. So a paper electricity bill showing that I haven't paid because I'm in credit might be needed somewhere.
I don't particularly want to change from getting monthly bills by the cheapest way, which is by taking some time to log in and download a .pdf. But I'd like to have at least one paper bill this year to show that I really don't owe EoN anything.
You can't do it on line but a phone call to customer services will switch you to paper bills.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I've never come across a company, government agency or anyone else that doesn't accept a printed out pdf of a utility bill as proof of address. Proof of 'credit rating' will only come from an organisation such as Equifax or Experian, for which a utility bill has no bearing whatsoever.
Perhaps you could change your preferences to paper twice a year and then back again… or get a new printer. Mine is years old, quite cheap and does the job fine.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Thats odd. I couldn't see any Your settings
preferences or Communication preferences option which might get my bill on paper near https://www.eonnext.com/dashboard/ac...rsonal-details
What's the link to the right setting which I want to change from 'online' to 'paper statement' ?
Personally, if I were @wizzo227, I would just stick to downloading them and printing one off as and when required. Seems less hassle to me… but we’re all different.

Its a trophy thing.
I haven't paid them a penny since September and its all properly metered and legit.
Hence This paper electricity bill might go up on the wall in a gold gilt picture frame.

We wouldn't be able to provide you with an annual statement as our system is set to produce monthly. To provide an annual statement would mean a full year re-bill of your account, which we wouldn't do if there were no problems with the account. However, we could change you to paper billing if you preferred or if you just wanted a one off copy of a bill we could post one out for you 😊
