IHD incorrect from bill
-
Hi, is my IHD faulty? My gas usage for the month on my IHD says I’ve spent £88 but the actual bill is £136, I know vat has to be added but surely that will not amount to that much extra .. are IHDs incorrect as I’m quite confused
thank you in advance for any help -

The IHD monthly usage resets at the start of each calendar month so your figure of £88 is from 1st February-24th February if it was read today. Your latest bill has measured your usage (and cost £) from an intermediate date. So if your statements are produced say on 22nd Feb (and monthly thereafter), it would have included usage from 23rd January to 22nd February inc (31 days) whereas you are looking just at 24 days usage and £ if you are looking at your IHD today.
Check your IHD on the 1st March and you will see both utilities zeroised again (both in kWh and £). -
my bills never seem to be from the begining to end of the month. it's like 17th Jan to 16th Feb etc.

As @Arms has said, your bills may be produced at a different time of the month than the calendar month your IHD is set at. Also, your IHD may be set to the wrong tariff. You should be able to find the tariffs in the IHD menus. If incorrect, you can send an email to hi@eonnext.com putting 'IHD Tariff Update Request' as a heading and your account details in the text.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -

Your meters (from where the data is sourced) probably require a tariff up date. Send an email with that in the subject line and your details in the body of the message. But always treat the IHD as a guide only. And better to use consumption in kWh for what's going on - that data isn't affected by price.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio.
