What's the E.ON Next Energy Fund?
The E.ON Next Energy fund is there to help customers who are struggling financially that either have energy debt or are in need of essential white goods. This is funded by E.ON Next and administered through a third party organisation called Charis Grants.What can the E.ON Next Energy Fund help me With?
- Energy Debt - If you're eligible, then the fund can help you with a one-off grant to help remove your household energy debt and get you back on track with your energy bills. This is a one-off grant up to a maximum of £2000.
- Essential White Goods - If you are eligible, then the fund can help you receive essential household appliances such as a cooker, fridge, fridge-freezer or washing machine if your current appliances are broken or are in poor condition.
Who's eligible for the E.ON Next Energy Fund?
The E.ON Next Energy Fund is for people who are committed to being financially stable this means that you need to be able to meet the cost of your current usage and have shown that you have made regular payments covering your usage.- Credit Customers - if you are a credit customer you must be able to show that you have been making regular payments and have been able to pay for your usage for a period of 3 months before you can apply. You must also keep up with your payments following any award or the grant will be withdrawn. If you have been placed on a below consumption payment plan you may still be eligible so long as you have been managing to keep up with your agreed payments.
- Prepayment / Smart PAYG Customers - For prepayment or smart payg customers you must not have received any discretionary credit in the 6 month period before applying. You must be topping up regularly and not self disconnecting. If you receive an award you must continue to stay on supply without the need for discretionary credit.
What information will I need to give you?
For a grant towards debt- Your E.ON Next account number.
- Proof of all household income for yourself or anyone living with you for the current tax year. This includes any benefits or pensions.
- If you have told us you have a medical condition you will need evidence of your condition in the form of DS1500 form or medical confirmation from a consultant or your doctor.
For household appliances
- Your E.ON Next account number.

- Information about the state of your current appliance(s) that you wish to replace.
How do I apply for the E.ON Next Energy Fund?

Applications usually take up to 8 weeks for Charis Grants to process. If you haven't heard anything after this or need to contact someone about your application please contact Charis Grants to discuss your application by calling 01733 421 021 and they can advise you further.How will I know if I'm successful?
Charis Grants will let you know the outcome of your application, if you are successful your account will be handled by a dedicated team. They will set you up on a payment plan and discuss energy efficiency with you to help you get the best start moving forward.Is there any other help available?
