Hi all, I finally have an appointment for my tails upgrade to 25nm next week, it just occurred to me that should I have asked for an isolator switch to be installed. The upgrade is required for an ev charger being fitted the following week.
So do I need an isolator or can the ev installer work safely without one and if I do need one. do I need to request it or will the engineer fit one as standard? I'm happy to pay if it's necessary.
It's usually a separate, billable, job. If you get back in touch, it should be arrangeable.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie thanks, so the next question would be, can the job already booked be amended to include the switch or will it require a new appointment? I will call on Monday to ask and pay.
Thanks Bennie, if only the social media team were as helpful as you, they seem to think I have to make an additional appointment which seems totally pointless and wastes both yours and my time. Is there anyway to check that is the case?
So I called E.on next first thing Monday and the agent who answered couldn't be more helpful, yes it was a second appointment but she managed to get it booked in for the following day, today the tails were upgraded so now I have 25mm tails in and out of meter and isolator fitted, just in time for charger being installed on Monday!
