We had an appointment cancelled without notice or explanation 4 days ago.

The appointment was to replace a damaged meter installation, which an Eon engineer had described as dangerous on a previous visit a couple of weeks earlier (but was unable to resolve at that visit).

Despite multiple calls, and contacts via Twitter, I'm hitting a brick wall re getting this resolved in a timely manner. Other appointments are offered, but not till late March. Every customer services person I speak to is very pleasant and understanding, but is hamstrung by process and apparently unable to offer any help beyond escalating the issue with no timeframe for a response.

Any suggestions how to get through to someone who can actually help resolve the matter?

You could try raising a complaint. See here for details.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Hey @plates81 have you managed to speak to an energy specialist about your cancelled appointment? If so how did you get on?
