Our gas meter has never sent a reading since being installed by eon in November.
It sends a signal to the IHD monitor so I can see how much I am using day/week etc.
I have to send a reading manually each month for the gas,the electric meter installed at the same time is sending electric readings each month .
I have tried switching on and off the IHD ,and I have it located 2.5 metres from the gas/electric meters.
I contacted eon about two weeks ago about the problem and I was told that It was quite common and I would be called by one of the team to sort it out,in approximately 48hrs,still no phone call.
I have heard that some remote setting by eon can sometimes fix this,seems like a lot of work and expense fitting smart meters has taken place only to have to still send in readings manually.

You need to raise it with customers services with "gas meter reading not getting through" in the subject line and the details in the message body. Your description indicates that the readings are getting to the communications hub but not to E.On Next. So its probably some sort of set up issue. You could also try the citizens advice smart meter checker, and include that detail in your message.
And make a complaint - see blue box below - they've had more than 8 weeks to effect a remedy.

I have been having the exact same problem since December. Everytime I contaxt E-on I just get told it takes time for it to register on their system. I cannot submitt meter readings on my e-on online account as it says my gas meter is not yet registered.
