"Assuming that the bill for 23rd January - 31st March starts with a meter reading of 0.0 and ends with 2422.7 then it looks like Eon Next have now got your account in its correct state with the correct bills and correct account balance."
That quite a lot of electricity in 2 and a bit months, so if that assumption is correct, then your comments in the final paragraph carry even more weight. If on the other hand that bill doesn't start at zero , then the total consumption for the year will be much lower than your calculation, all other things being equal.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

I agree which is why I mentioned this in my final paragraph and why I queried with the OP what the opening read was.
Considering that the OP received a AFP payment from HMG (Alternative Fuel Payment) meaning that:
The OP's household is not connected to the mains gas grid
The OP uses alternative fuels as the main form of heating
And yet as you say 2422kWh has been used in just over 2 months. In my house this year, between Jan 1st and March 31st, I used 650kWh of electricity (gas used for DHW and CH).
Excellent to see the books balancing using the total charges on each bill. I think I must have missed something. The amount of £257.82 for 23 Jan to 31 Mar is surely way too low for a consumption of 2242.7kWh. I can see where the consumption figure comes from going by the opening reading on 1 Apr but I can't see where the £257.82 comes from. Do we not need to see the missing statement(s) covering the period 23/1-31/3?
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Again agreed - perhaps the OP can post the details of the very first statement (as this is the only one missing) and also indicate the general region of the country where they reside. Perhaps they can also confirm their method of heating the house and DHW (Domestic Hot Water). It smacks of being all-electric so I can understand the kWh if it is yet there is the alternative fuels payment.🤔
As an afterthought perhaps the OP can post the meter reads that are showing via their online account in addition to/instead of the first statement?
Can you please check again what the opening read was by looking at the first statement you received from Eon Next (from when you took on the property end of January 2023?) and/or by showing the statement. The numbers just don't seem to be correct otherwise you'd have been billed for alot more in that very first bill. 🍻
