Hi as I'm now on my second set of smart meters can someone from EON point me in the direction of their user manuals as currently I have to submit manual readings.

The GS60 manual should be compatible with your physical meter. The difference between the 60 and the 68 is just the comms hub, but the meter itself operates the same way.

@despairingcustomer Thank you so much for reaching out on the community.
Has been great to see that @retrotecchie was ready with the support you needed. We do support customers with instructions around smart meters through our customers service, but you did point out a very good point here. Perhaps they should be guides available for people to be able to consult when and where needed.
What do you think will be the benefit for this?

There are some handy guides to IHDs on the E.On Next website, but little or no documentation on the meters themselves. When they stop being smart, for whatever reason, customers should be able to access a guide to the physical meters themselves. What the buttons do. How to access all the different screen. How to decipher error messages, etc.

@retrotecchie I totally agree with you. Perhaps it would be interesting to see which could be the major things that customers could access in a guide handbook rather than the whole manual. But then the question is how many different meters are out there? What would be the input useful for the customers to know?

@Bennie_EONNext
Thing is, none of the meters have a 'manual' as such. Just a technical manual which is the installation manual for the meter engineers.
What we need is a quick 'How to understand your meter' summary for each of the meters as installed, with instructions on how to access and read the meters when the smarts fail.

@retrotecchie Thank you got bringing this up to my attention, I will try to do some digging and see if we can perhaps add something on the community with the same objectives. Not promising anything tho, I will need to ask 😀
