Eon Next have just sent out the invite for the next energy shift.
Yes me too. Reducing my 'average consumption' or whatever the 'formula consumption' is (0.9kWh), by the notional 20%+ (0.18kWh) will see a reward of a maximum £0.55 so they say.
I understand the 20% reduction and I can see that 0.9 kWh might be about right but I have absolutely no idea on why the £ figures (that I have received) have varied as much as they have done. The most I got was £2.33 for the same time slot 5-6pm back in December. I'm sure some of us could do with a 'Janet and John' summmary to the pecuniary reward - just curious.

The sums paid by Eon Next are incomprehensible and I have actually been paid way in excess of what they suggested they would pay (despite them deciding I failed 2 events).
There is documentation from National Grid relating to Demand Flexibility Service but "Each energy provider will have individual incentives for their campaigns" so only Eon Next know what they are prepared to pay.
@Mstty is suggesting that if you can increase energy usage in the 3 hours prior to the event then you may be due a bigger pay-out.
So for the last event (please note I had to do this with loop as Eon Next still refuse to give me access to their time shift events of which I now have an ombudsman claim in for - story for another day)
We shifted the followiNg energy use we would have used anyway in that day to the 5am-8am in-day measuring slot.
Dishwasher load
Washing load
Tumbledryer load
Heated the hot water (we have an ASHP)
Lifted the temp in the house by 2 oC for the turn off at 9am
Heated the garage gym from 4oC to 17oC for two workouts
We shifted 14kwh we would have used in day to those 3 hours.
I do have a semi accurate spreadsheet but as this was my very first energy shifting event I need a couple of more to finalise it.
In essence move everything you can to 1-4pm tomorrow before the 5-6pm.everhy shifting event and you will see a massive difference if the amount you receive.
@Actual why am I still not getting the notifications for these. I signed up, I've told you before you supposedly escalated it to the relevant department but I'm still not getting the offers, I want to be able to save £100 I am eligible
@Mstty are you not getting the notifications either? I got the original email to offer me the chance to take part but never actually received any of the notifications?
