Still no sign of my £200 credit, but there is I week of February to go so I remain hopeful. Not sure whether it will land in my account without recourse to the 'portal' (of which there is no sign yet). There is gas main along the middle of my road, but I am not connected and have no MPRN gas meter number.

Hey @Poorpensioner, if we have been told you are eligible then you should receive this by the end of the month. I believe this is when the portal is due to open THIS page on gov.uk might be helpful for you if you need to apply 😊"Green is the prime colour of the world and that from which it's loveliness arises"-Pedro Calderon De La Barca 🌳

@Poorpensioner
the system for identifying customers eligible for this payment was very imperfect as hopefully it’s a one off event. You should be fine to get the payment but there will be more hoops to jump through. Watch out for the portal opening and get in quick. -
@meldrewreborn
Shouldn't really have been difficult for those without an MPRN (gas meter) number and who don't heat with electricity (something E.on can tell). All that's left apart from heatpumps, is coal, wood, LPG or dragons! -
@Poorpensioner
It really is not that simple. My sister in law lives in an apartment block that is heated by a central heat pump system. She has an electricity meter but pays for her heating in the standing charges for her apartment. There are so many forms of alternative heating that the policy - thought out on the quick - has proved harder to implement than first thought.
One alternative would have been to make the payment to those without a MPRN and a low electricity consumption. Still not perfect but easier to understand and implement.
The main thing though is that you should get the money - albeit later than others. -

That would/should be me then! -
