Just check your online account or app. It will appear on your account balance and your Payments once it has been paid to you. If you are a pay as you go customer, you will receive a voucher through the mail.

They don't appear to send any notifications.

@TwoAkers I totally understand how worrying this can be. I am aware that the payments have started to be made to customers. I believe we are trying our best to get them delivered as soon as possible. Have you checked the different ways on which the payments will be made? I did put an update in one of the previous comments 😁

I just did that and the payment was made on 12 February to my account 😊
That’s 3 days ago - wonder why I wasn’t informed 🤪

thanks for reply suggesting I check different ways 👍🏻
But what really helped was when I checked my online account and discovered that the payment had been made 3 days ago 😊
Any idea why we are customers are not being informed when this is rolled out. It can make a big difference to some people who are really struggling 😬

I have a friend in Lincolnshire who has no gas and heats with oil who has already had £200 credited to his electricity account this week by Octopus Energy.
I wonder why E.on are behind? Could it be that the interest for a month on 2 2 million customers x £200 each adds a lot of gravy to their pot?

No, that's not going to be the case. Eon started to make their payments this week. I had mine on Monday.

The way it works is that all the suppliers have to provide a completely separate bank account, ring fenced and ear-marked for the sole purpose of getting the AFP from HMG, and then disbursing it to their customers. At the end of the scheme, all monies need to be reconciled and any 'change' handed back to the Government. This includes any interest that may have accrued on the account.

So, Eon aren't making money on our money. It's simply not in their interest (pardon the pun) as any 'earnings' have to be accounted for and handed over to the Government at the end of the scheme.

I imagine it's just been a little behind some of the companies purely because they were not as organised with the admin. This seems to be a fairly common theme.

This is most definitely not an 'earner' for the suppliers!

If it's anything like Warm Home Discount, you'll get a letter sometime next week saying it's been credited
