Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
On my chameleon IHD, hit the menu button - nine dots (bottom right) - then £ Budget button. You can set a budget in £ if you want to but it depends on the IHD having accurate tariff information (lots don't). I don't budget to a daily £ figure but I do set a target consumption of usage which is why I really only look at the kWh figures on a daily basis having worked out a target monthly consumption (and know the cost of this target per month).
To the OP find the menu button and you can find all sorts of information buried in it - History is the most useful one for me to monitor the days previous totals for gas and electric.
Thank You. My Smart Meter is about 4 years old and I have now managed to set the budget. It was all about pressing and holding the £ sign until the budget screen appeared
KWHs are definitely the best measure in the present climate. I also transfer my information to a spread sheet to keep on top of things and be prepared for any “shocks”
kWh are the best measure in any climate. I don't have a smart meter and don't need one to tell me everything I need to know from my spreadsheets, which predate smart meters by a decade!
