Ive seen a couple of posts where people’s smart meters have been showing roughly double/triple the cost since Jan 1st for the same or even less usage, I’ve asked for a tariff update to be done twice now but the IHD is still showing a ridiculous increase.
I understand that my electricity cost has gone up 3p per kWh but that doesn’t add up to what’s shown?!
Dec 29th - £3.59 for 42 kWh
Jan 5th - £5.65 for 29 kWh
Has anyone managed to get this resolved or know what is going on?
Ignore the pounds and pence. Just look at the KWh. You know what your rates should be, you can do the maths. In a couple of days or should sort itself out but you are not using that much money. You will be billed correctly. Try turning the IHD off, waiting a few hours then turning it on again and wait for it to resynchronise with the correct rates.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Ive given up to be honest and like many others got to accept this is how things are going forward, let’s just hope the wholesale prices continue to drop and you guys lower our prices in the future
@LeightonS I am personally aware that it has been tough but I do share your same hope. There will be light out of the tunnel. In the mean time we are here to support you if you need us. 😀
supplier prices went up in January but were virtually completely offset by increases in the governments EPGleaving most of us relatively unaffected. Some prices even went down a tad.
your IHD displays the prices last sent to your meters by the supplier.
These are not definitive, could be wrong. etc etc. Requesting a tariff update to your meters should correct them, but you may also need to reboot you IHD after that has happened. The IHD gets its info from the meters via the communications hub.
