It's also difficult to get anyone to help. Twitter help doesn't reply and can't get through on the phones. Because I pay my bill when the money comes through, they're not getting a payment until it's in my account.

4 million customers in the UK using smart prepay meters. Across all energy suppliers, that is. All of those meters are being 'pushed' their credit from the energy companies at the same time, but each transaction takes bandwidth and time across DCC's smart data network. No way it can be done instantly. So, I'm pretty sure the 'credit message' has gone out...it will just take a while for everyone's meter to receive, acknowledge and apply the credit.

Just for your information, the energy providers have up to seven days to credit your prepayment meter. So while the text says the 5th, they actually have until the 7th to credit your meter, maybe later due to the bank holidays.
Your discount will be credited directly to your smart prepayment meter in the first week of each month.
