The first image shows what EON Next said my tariff would go up to on 1st Jan, the second image shows what it’s saying my rates are today 31/12.

    Day rate:
    expected increase 5%
    actual increase 30%

    Night rate:
    expected increase 14%
    actual increase 56%

I’ll be closely checking my statement when it generates in a few days.

Anyone else seen this same problem?

Yes, those are indeed your new tariff rates. However those are before the Government EPG discounts are applied. The energy companies have to bill at the actual rates, then apply the deduction to the charges. Bottom line is that your bottom line prices will remain roughly similar to what they are now.

Currently for the last quarter the EPG discount for electricity has been 17p per unit. From 1st January that increases to around 34p. Economy 7 has the discounts applied slightly differently to single rate, but the net outcome on your bills will be similar.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
