On the app or your online account, do you see your meter read history?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I'll tag @DebF_EONNext for you and see if she can take a look. I had the same problem between June and November this year, and she fixed the problem for me. As I read my meter regularly and track my costings in a spreadsheet, I had been making manual payments to cover the unbilled period as they weren't taking direct debits due to not generating bills. Worked out fine in the end and haven't had any issues since 🤞
@Theldron I submit my own readings end of every month and pay straightaway. EON delayed 1st the gas bill by 2 weeks, then the Elec bill following month. Something is wrong, as its never happened before. I hope EON tech is not the same as the POST OFFICE? This is unfair when we submit accurate readings and want to pay the bill promptly. Why has this become not simple. No, I do not want a smart Meter, as is my right. EON, why the Problem?

It's happened to me a couple of times, and strangely enough they were around this time of the year. There are several things that can delay a bill. A common one is the calorific value of gas. In both my situations a quick phone solved the problem.

May I ask do you pay straight away by direct debit or do you make other arrangements to pay. Its just that paying by variable Direct debit is up to 7% cheaper in unit pricing and standing order costs than other methods of paying. And its less faff - sorry for mentioning this if you already use DD.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn Thanks, but its no faff- for me. Over 35 years, I prefer to pay as I go, the exact amounts for anything. It's not fair that I do it right and technology doesn't.
Even now, as I write this ....still waiting to be billed after submitting an accurate up to date reading. Why? The post office tech went wrong, is the same happening?
I suspect that it's a human failure rather than the tech 'going wrong'. Horizon didn't 'go wrong'. It was flawed right from the get-go and still is today.
If I were you I'd phone customer services and request them to generate an up to date bill for you.
Just in case you're unfamiliar with the Variable Direct Debit @meldrewreborn suggested, with that method you only pay for what is on your bill except you don't have to do anything to make the payment. So you would still be paying as you go. Also, due to the DD discount, you save considerably into the bargain and have access to the best 'DD only' tariffs. You would need to contact customer service to set this up.
I appreciate you may already know this but it's worth highlighting just in case you were unaware and in case anyone else is reading this.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
the Post Office problems are very important but largely in the past. Rest assured Eon Next will be bill you soon enough, if they don’t bill you they don’t get their money!
Really kind of you to help. But I would still make the effort to give them readings, so I would rather make the effort to pay/give... instead of them taking. Thanks anyway
