I totally agree about Vera. I also tend to forget whodunnit between views, and yes, it's great how a 50+ mile drive from Holy Island to Newcastle takes Vera only 5 minutes. I also enjoy identifying the local landmarks. I haven't seen Our Friends in the North, but really liked Inspector George Gently.
I haven't seen Shetland, but my brother has. I think I'll treat myself to the box set because everyone I know says it's brilliant.😃🕵

Especially in an old P-reg Land Rover TDi 90 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I've got the whole Morse collection of Endeavour, Inspector Morse and Lewis. One of these days, I'll binge the whole lot in chronological order. By then, Lewis should have retired and there will be a new offshoot called Hathaway.🤞
I too have the whole Inspector Morse and Endeavour series, but not quite the whole Lewis collection yet. There's an idea for my birthday or Christmas list! Love the idea of another spin-off "Hathaway"😃👍
I loved the way that other characters from Endeavour were developed from Morse. DS Strange (the one who always called him 'matey') became Chief Superintendent Strange in Morse.
The fire risk in homes with lots of tapes and disks must be very high.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Yes it's great to have that continuity. There's also the pathologist Dr Max De Brynn who was in the earliest episodes of Morse.
I love a good series or boxset to binge but I've watched everything on my list so need some ideas. At the moment I'm watching Sherlock, I like detective stuff, a good drama or a comedy...
Came to me today as it was a series that we originally thought 'not for us - too violent etc' and did not catch up until lockdown...
