@Tommysgirl Vera was good, I haven't heard of Endeavour before 🤔
Endeavour is about the earlier life of Inspector Morse when he first became a Detective, (filmed many years after the original). It's set in the 1960s and early 1970s. It's well worth watching and there are some great characters in it.😃

Endeavour is the 'prequel' to Inspector Morse. Morse when he was a young lad, if you like.
@Tommysgirl, I'm a huge fan of Roger Allam. He did a series on Radio 4, available on BBC Sounds, with Joanna Lumley called 'Conversations from a long Marriage' which was utterly captivating. I quite like a good radio drama too. There have been some crackers on Radio 4 in the last year or so and one I can highly recommend if you want to give the telly a bit of time off is The Flat Share. Apparently they are bringing out a film of the book.
The Radio 4 adaptation starred Will Kirk, better known to most folks as the woodwork fella from The Repair Shop.
Vera is often repeated on ITV 2 or 3. I like a bit of Vera.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

I haven't heard the "Conversations from a long Marriage", but will definitely listen to it on BBC Sounds. Thanks for mentioning the Radio Dramas, good to know for when there is not much on TV. I like Will Kirk on The Repair Shop, there are some great craftspeople on there!
I often watch the repeats of Vera on ITV3. With my accent I could have been a voice coach for her! 🕵️♀️.
I also like a good Quiz show to help keep the brain cells active. My favourites are: Richard Osman's House of Games; Pointless; The Chase and The 1% Club🤔👩🎓
We love the chase in this house too, my boy is 14 he was gifted the Chase board game for Xmas as it is one of his faves! I think I have only ever seen a couple of episodes where they have actually beat the chaser though 🤣

Two of my favourite Detective Dramas are Endeavour and Vera. Endeavour mainly because of the wonderful performances of Roger Allam as DI Fred Thursday🕵️♂️ "Mind How You Go", and Vera because of it being set in my neck of the woods (North East England), and Brenda Blethyn is great as Vera🕵️♀️. They both have fab storylines too.😃
Agree with that, got the boxed set of Endeavour and recently saw Vera on ITV again for the umpteenth time - still watchable as I tend to forget whodunnit after an increasingly shorter time between views. Its great with Vera how a drive from Holy Island to the centre of Newcastle seems like a 5 minute drive. Nice working out the local landmarks and those we have been to in the past. Another couple of slightly older NE series was the brilliant Our Friends in the North and the laconic Inspector George Gently series.
Another fav of mine is Shetland which I also have as a boxed set - am currently reading the Shetland novels by Ann Cleeves (again for maybe the 3rd time) the same author of the Vera series (that I also have and re-read).
I've got the whole Morse collection of Endeavour, Inspector Morse and Lewis. One of these days, I'll binge the whole lot in chronological order. By then, Lewis should have retired and there will be a new offshoot called Hathaway.🤞
