@meldrewreborn
Am I missing the point with your figures. ?
Where the unit prices have increased , you show a minus, but where they have decreased, you show a positive.
You win the prize for spotting the error in my Formulae, which i will correct later this afternoon!
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
DD customers hardly see any change but Standard/Prepayment see a small change. Northern DD customers will see a very slight reduction. So I expect to see the rates for my Bills for post Jan 1st altered accordingly to reflect this marginally lower rate.
Yes noticed that the rates have now changed in my online account to reflect the slightly lower unit electricity tariffs that Northern DD customers should see in their leccy bills for usage between Jan1st - March 31st (down 1.16%) so will be approx 85p better off when the January bills are calculated - the bottled waters are on me!
According to the BBC this AM, Octopus said it would pass on cuts, but not rises, to customers. The company said it would absorb the increases, except for "Economy 7" customers. EOn is making changes to direct debit and billed customers, but not increasing rates for prepayment customers.
many others are passing the rates on in full.
the news on prepayment charges is welcome, but a shame we get it via the BBC. And are we seeing a bit of competition returning?

Wow! About the same amount for me too. I think @meldrewreborn might prefer a bar of Cadburys Dairy Milk to bottled water🍫.
Happy New Year!🥂
Make mine an Eau du Tap please, my attitude to bottled water is similar to my opinion on smart meters!
Oooh....now, you're clearly not looking at all the advantages to the consumer. Prepayment helps you manage your usage, you can 'top up' at any supermarket, or even online and if you stack the bottles in a couple of wooden wine racks, you have an easy to use 'In House Display' which not only shows your consumption at a glance but let's you know exactly how much you have left at any time.
With Eau de Tap, you can either have a fixed deal (water rates) or a variable tariff (metered). In either case, easy to pay by Direct Debit, no running out and having to go to a shop to top up (usually, unless you live in my area where we had a huge outage before Christmas!). Plus it usually works out cheaper. Ok, so you need to read the meter occasionally and submit a reading, but that's no hardship as the water companies send out meter readers regularly anyway.
I'm with you...Eau de Tap all the way!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
the only advantage of bottled water is in building an insulating wall around the home from all the empties, rather than polluting the environment with them.
