Hi.
I recently moved into a new place and kept using the old card left by the previous tenants. After learning i was paying a debt off i only then registered for a new card.
Today Eon said they had credit me back money and gave me a RTI number.
i was told to wait 2 and half hours (which i did) but when i tell the cashier the RTI code, it just says “unrecognised card.”
Just wondering if anyone knows what to do with this (or do i just wait until tomorrow and allow it more time to register?
You'll need to ask them for a new card. They should have spares in the shop. They then put the RTI onto that for you. You will then need to put the card in your meter to 'reset' the meter, then top the card up again in the usual way.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Ah right ok. They sent me a new card already set up (and it’s cleared that debt i had). This code was a refund “it’s how Eon process refunds apparently.
Sorry, probably didn’t myself more clear in the initial message.
They sent a new card that didn’t require a RTI number as they had registered from their end.
This number they gave me was for a refund onto the new card.
