Smart meter not talking to EON next, Asked to submit manual reading energy adviser unable to help, told to look on you tube info online or on EON next site not helped unable to take manual reading.
Meter is a EDMI ES-10A
checked citizens advice link and got the following

Supplier: E.ON Next Energy Limited
This means your meter should automatically send readings to your supplier, so you don't need to send them yourself.
It’s working in smart mode because you have a second generation meter (SMETS2) that’s on the smart meter data network. The network connects your smart meter to energy suppliers.
Google the model of your meter and you will have lots of links to Youtube videos that explain. Usually pressing the OK button will cycle through the displays.

Have done that no joy only one that found is Scottish power one and this did not work
Does one of those sets say Import, because if so, that number is the reading you need.
If you have Economy 7, you will need two readings that might say R0 and R1. They are day units and off peak units, and you'll know which is which by comparison against previously billed readings.
Sounds like you are still on supply, so not an emergency as such, but I'd suggest dropping an email to hi@eonnext.com with 'Faulty meter' in the subject and all your account details in the body. Don't expect the fastest response right now though.
Will take a look at SW light just had a hefty estmated bill luckly was in credit, cant really understand why I cant get a reading at the meter or find information on taking a reading at my end.
Energy advisor on phone was no help.
