Hi, been trying to resolve my new meter that was installed 2 years ago, have emailed, sent pics etc etc of new meter and serial nos and stickers bar codes etc etc to get this new meter recognised so it will accept accurate meter readings for gas usage but I can’t do it as old meter still registered. Been trying to resolve this for a while to no avail even though I have been assured it will be rectified but it hasn’t. Maybe I’ll just stop paying my bills and cancel the direct debit to get your attention as to why I won’t be paying moving forward as pointless being told it will be resolved….. 2 years lol.

So are you being billed? What are the readings based on, because your old meter isn't changing its reading is it?
If you stop paying your Direct debit they can charge you more for your energy. You can though reverse incorrectly billed Direct debits under the direct debit guarantee. Be aware that if you are not being billed the supplier can only back bill for the most recent 12 months, and so sometimes it can be prudent to say nothing.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio.
