I have a smart meter but only last week changed my account profile to accept Eon Next marketing emails. Does anyone know how I can now join the "Energyshift" initiative to reduce my electric useage at certain times and get paid for doing it. I spoke to someone about it at Eon Next last week, but no response from them yet.
Have you set your smart meter read preferences to half hourly in the app or online?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
You have to wait for an invite from Eon Next usually in the form of an email - I think the energy shift is not offered to everyone but a smart meter set at half hourly readings and opting into marketing is a good first step.

Plus the half hour readings which, allegedly, need to have been received successfully for 30 days prior.
I emailed last week asking about joining Energy Shift (have had successful half hourly readings for a long time and have marketing on) and I just received this reply:
"Hello __
Thanks for getting in touch.
You can opt yourself in to participate in the energy shift scheme by vising the E.ON Next website please try and access the site using your mobile phone instead of a computer or laptop.
Thank you for your time, patience and understanding through these difficult times.
Regards
E.ON Next"
However I can't seem to find online what they're referring to? I thought I'd try asking here before waiting another week for an email reply because I know they're super busy.
Check your messages online or via email. If you are eligible, you will receive an invite and that will contain a link to sign up.
If you’re an E.ON Next customer we’ll contact you if you are eligible to take part – so keep an eye on your inbox. Shifting your energy use with the Demand Flexibility Service is a great opportunity to earn rewards for saving energy to lower your bills this winter.
You will not be able to join if you have a Capacity Market contract or take part in any balancing mechanisms. Customers can only sign up to one supplier to take part in the National Grid's Demand Flexibility Service.
Thanks so much Retro. I haven't received an email or message (I assume because it's only a couple of weeks since I changed my marketing preferences), hence emailing them to ask to register.
So I'm not going mad? There isn't an option to sign up online and whoever sent the email from eon must have made a mistake?
