electricity 37.62 pkwh with 54.18 day standing charge
the EPG says 17 pkwh electric and 4.2 gas
am I missing something? I’ve phoned eon they’ve said it’s exactly right. I said I’m still confused (please go east on me I have MS and my brain is in go slow right now).
The EPG figures are the government subsidies taken off the actual prices to bring them down to the correct figures. Not the actual price of the units themselves.
I only have electricity as gas is not available to me and oil heating is much cheaper than gas, but you can see the numbers here on my electric bill.
You can see that the actual unit price is 49.35p per kWh.
They then subtract the 17p EPG reduction.
So the price I pay (my tariff) is then 32.35p, plus VAT at 5%
Total price per unit is my advertised figure of 33.9675p.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
This is the way I read the EPG,
Your full rate discount is …..
(the EPG says 17 pkwh electric and 4.2 gas)
this is the reduction taken off the actual price per unit. Had there not been an EPG, then you would’ve paid 17p more for electric per unit & 4.2p extra for gas etc.
