Hi @DebF_EONNext. Sadly no, and all attempts to contact your support via phone and WhatsApp have been unsuccessful. If there’s any help you can provide if really appreciated it
I'm out of ideas, other than the 'last resort' top up method which I will only suggest if @DebF_EONNext can't offer any more advice.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Was there any error messages coming up on the actual meter itself when you pop the key in?
Have you tried a different shop in case it has been an issue with the paypoint / payzone machine itself - I had a prepayment meter for a long time it wouldn't ever work at the coop or the post office terminals but always worked at the corner shop!
Also can you confirm is the meter currently off supply?
If there are no errors and you have tried different shops please let me know.

@DebF_EONNext Thank you. We didn’t put the key in the meter as there was no money on it but took it to the usual shop who said there was a problem with the key. They tried cleaning it but still the same. We took it home and cleaned it with a toothbrush then took it back and still the same. We then took to a second shop and they said exactly the same. Not sure what you mean by the meter being off supply. Thank you
Did you put the key in your meter? If the key is faulty, the meter will display an error message. By being 'off supply' we mean run out of credit and you've been cut off.
No, we didn’t put the key in so need to do that but we’re not there now as we can’t have a 6 year old in a freezing cold flat. Will go back tomorrow to check. We used the key a few days ago and put money on it which worked fine. The credit ran out yesterday, we went to the shop to add money and this saga then began so no I don’t think we are ‘off supply’. The fact we can’t get hold of anybody from Eon to help is really poor in my opinion. Thank you for your help though, it’s very much appreciated. We’ve resigned ourself to not being able to get this sorted now until Monday when Eon have staff working
@rogerb , we have staff working however we have been extremely busy this evening with emergencies and people being off supply. We can arrange for a code for your partner to collect a new key from the shop. We just have to check that all other steps have been carried out before doing so. I will pop you a DM 😊
