You probably won't at the weekend as the offices are closed.
What's the issue? Perhaps we can offer some advice.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie eon gave us an emergency gas code to help us through but it doesn't work and down to last couple pound on the gas and my aunt's vulnerable prone to sepsis , has minerse disease and a bone condition
@retrotecchie yes I waited 3 hours tried last night , and tried today in post office and 2 different shops .. they all say need a barcode not just digits
They should have given you a 9 digit number, called an RTI number.
That can be hand entered on a payzone terminal. If the muppet in the shop doesn't know how to do this, ask them to read pages 32 to 36 of their payzone terminal manual which will explain how to do it.
You will need to then not top up, but go and put the card in the meter to 'reprogram' the meter. Then, go back out and top up in the normal way, come back and reinsert the card and it should then top up.
@retrotecchie thank you I think I found the problem , they person only supplied me with 7 digits of the number .. I guess for the time being I'll sell something to make sure we be warm during this weekend . Thank you
My apologies....typo. I meant a 7 digit number, not 9. My mistake. See details above if you need to explain to the shop how to do it. Barcodes are just for things like the government vouchers. Keypad entry will work fine.
Good luck, but armed with the knowledge above, you should be just fine now. Don't top up. Take the card to your Aunts, whop it in the meter, let the meter update, then go out again to top up later if needed.
