I have moved at e-on next in July this year. Unfortunately, I could not make the gas readings to be sent automatically. It works great for electricity but gas... nope.
Right. I think I'm out of diagnostic tools here, so I think this is down to some tweakage needed from their end. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to drop them an email to hi@eonnext.com with 'No SMART gas readings' in the subject, and your details in the body. If you make sure you give them your account details, and that link to the picture showing your meter is visible to DCC, then they may be able to prod it from their end.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

Ok, in that case, and your meters show up on your app and online with the correct serial numbers, you may be able to go into your Preferences, and see what your meter read settings are set to. I think the electric can be set to monthly, daily and half-hourly, and the gas can be set to quarterly, monthly or daily? Have a look at the gas meter read frequency and change the setting if it looks wrong.
Not on the display unit, but in your online account with E.On Next, or on the E.On Next app if you have it. I can't take a screen shot of my account to show you where that is as I don't have a smart meter myself.
Cheers. Ok, go into those preferences to see if there is anything you can change for the gas readings. The info panel usually just shows the electric, I think?
