@John Like you I pay DD I received my letter in November I usually get it paid before Xmas this time under eon next (not eon)things are definitely slower.
@gbhxu & @retrotecchie Certainly some interesting and important questions coming up here! I have taken this to the powers that be (aka, know the answer). The DWP won't give every supplier under the sun your details, they will only give what is needed to the needed suppliers 😊.
Would it not have been easier for those of us that qualify to have given EON Next our reference number and let them sort it out?
Any information about the £200 "Off Grid Payment?"
The Alternative Fuel Payment is apparently due for GB customers in February. They are making payments in NI during January. For GB customers it's being paid alongside the EBSS payments for February.
A bit too late for my last 500 litre oil delivery I ordered last week.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
No, despite receiving the WHD in October in previous years, I've still not received mine yet. Contacted EonNext this morning about this and they have replied that my WHD will be paid within the next 12 weeks! Looks like they are leaving payments until the last minute this year......no idea though if this is the same for everyone.
Previous years were different eligibilities and different methods of applying the payments. This year, unless you get the Guaranteed Credit element of pension credit, your qualifying benefits will only make you eligible for the WHD if your property qualifies as a 'high heat cost home'.
If you tick both boxes, you will receive your discount by 31 March this year.
Forget what happened in previous years. The scheme is completely different from what has happened in the past. People eligible in previous years may not be this year. More people are included in the scope this year, but under different eligibility criteria.
If you do indeed qualify, then as I say, you should receive the discount no later than end of March. This applies to everyone.
Has anybody been credited with their Warm Home Discount yet, or is Eon Next holding on to it until the end of March?
Holding on to what? This isn't Government money or a DWP handout. This is a 'discount' applied to qualifying customers by the energy companies themselves and paid for to the tune of £20 a year added onto all our standing charges. Those who receive this discount will only benefit to the tune of £130 as £20 of the £150 has already been added to your energy bill.
The scheme is very different to previous years, and the requirement is that anyone assessed to qualify for the discount will have it applied by the end of March.
Personally I think they should have called it something slightly different to avoid this sort of confusion.
