Warm home discount
-
Hi there , I have a question about Warm Home Discount so basically I got a letter saying that I will receive this but I'm renting a house and my name is not on the energy bills as I pay money to my landlord so how will I receive the discount ? Will that be added to my landlord account ? Thank you

@IlonaK. The money, if it is paid, goes to the electricity account which you say is in the landlord’s name.
does the landlord bill you for the electricity?
how long have you lived there? Do you have a contract? Why is the account not in your name. Is the home in your sole occupation or do you share it with other families?Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Hi, thank you for message, basically it is my father in-law's house so that's why he is on the bills .. I've moved here over 4 years ago and yes I do have a contract ( I live here with my husband.) -
@IlonaK
If it's family and you and your husband can arrange things with your father in law, then so long as you can agree everything between yourselves they the electricity bill will be £150 cheaper and you should come to an arrangement over what you should have to pay..
Otherwise, you could just register the account in your or your husband's name, if your father in law agrees.Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player.
