I made a payment on Nov 10th which has not yet been applied. The funds left my bank account on that day. I enquired with my bank on the advice of Eon on WhatsApp. My bank said the transaction was successful on their side.
@retrotecchie newbuild accounts have to go through a different set up process when it moves from developer to a residential account so it's a little more complicated, however sometimes it gets a bit messy if steps have been missed which could be the case in this instance. We have a dedicated team for this stuff though so it should be a simple fix 🤞

@conbob
"You have a pending payment which has not yet been applied" means Eon have received the payment from the bank but have not yet updated your account. My "pending" direct debit payments usually update within a few days, the gas one can take a day or two longer than the electricity one. If your payment has been "pending" since 10th November it seems to be taking longer than usual to show on your account. I would contact Eon again and tell them the bank have confirmed they issued the payment on the correct date, which will also show on your bank statement or list of transactions. Other than that, is there any reason why Eon might have returned the payment to your bank account?

Reason: Adding info
Hey @conbob I have just taken a quick look at your account to check if the payment has cleared (it hasn't) can I ask is this a business account or residential?
@conbob I think this could be the issue, I think what may have happened is the account may have been set up incorrectly as a business account (hence the business tariff) I am guessing it's a new build?
A Residential account with a Business tariff then?!
That sounds like it falls 'between the cracks' then, @DebF_EONNext?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
