@JayEff
This should help you
1. From a sleep state (screen backlight off)
2. Press and hold the A button until you see ‘Time’
3. Press the A button until you get to the export reading
Aha...so it is export capable. I suspected it 'ought' to be but only the menus will actually tell you if that feature has actually been provisioned.
The three little symbols on the meter are a clue. The square inside a square indicates that the meter is double insulated. The two arrows pointing in opposite directions indicate it is export capable, if configured, and the third symbol indicates it has radio communication capability, i.e. it's a smart meter.
However there have been several posts from folk saying that some Landis and Gyr E470 meters record export incorrectly and bill you for it rather than pay you for it. Worth checking your solar setup too. SOME systems have something in the controller menu somewhere that let's you limit your export energy. Someone mentioned setting that limit to zero until such time as everything is finally sorted. On the premise if you aren't being paid for it, use it all yourself.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Thanks retro. There's also a generated meter by the inverter which shows roughly double the export figure. So that looks reasonable.
I will follow up your point about charging the export fig (not crediting) though. Not immediately obvious to me how to do that, but won't be able to check it anyway, until meter starts to talk to Eon. Up till now, they've been billing using customer readings.
@JayEff I got SMETS1 meter like you and they allowed me to open an export account. All I need to do is send them a photo of my meter showing the total exported and they will send me a cheque once a year.
No need for 30-minute intervals as EON does not pay you based on the time of day. Its a flat 3p rate.
