I didn't even know that e.on is the electricity supplier for my house (I was convinced it was still EDF). I haven't received a dime of electricity allowance yet. I am trying to create an account and register on the e.on website, but it is not possible.
You haven't given much information here. Sounds like you were with EDF so was that in your previous residence and you've now moved to a new home? I think you need to contact customer service for this by one of the means listed here and tell them of your circumstances.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
have the previous occupants registered that they’ve moved out? Was there any gap between them leaving and you taking up occupation? Is the property rented or are you the owners? Is there any sort of handover report?
you need to contact customer services and give them al the details you can. If you phone try calling as soon as the call centre is open, but the queues are never short.
if the meter is a credit meter the payments will follow once the account is set up. If it’s a prepayment meter are you using the previous occupants key or card? You should eventually get vouchers or a credit to the meter in that case, but getting through to customer services is the essential first step.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn I live in the same house but the previous supplier was EDF. I didn't get a subsidy for electricity from EDF and I contacted them with an inquiry, they replied that they are no longer the electricity supplier to my house! My electricity supplier was changed and I didn't even know it!
In which case you need to contact EDF and explain to them that you were migrated without your knowledge or permission, and that you need to return to them without any further delay. Do you have any idea when the change happened?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
