My smart meter stopped sending readings to EON in April, and it hasn't restarted since then. My electric readings are sending fine, and the gas and electric are showing on the home display.
I've contacted Eon several times, and each time, I'm told someone will contact me to resolve the issue, but nothing ever happens after that.
I'd also be interested to know if it's possible to request a newer model smart meter, as my Duet 2 is pretty outdated.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
but the IHD's are optional items supplied with the meters themselves and E.On Next don't upgrade them.
If your meter is visible on the network but not sending readings, you could email hi@eonnext.com with your name, address and account details and ask them to try and give your gas meter a prod, but this may take some time as it it a DCC process, and not directly under the control of the suppliers.
