Earlier this year I switched to Online V.20 as with the prospective increases in price over the next year looked huge. This all changed when the last Govt. pledged the 2 year assistance, which of course has now gone. When I received my October bill I saw that I have been switched to Next Flex without having been notified, or asked and with no amendment to my Direct Debit. There was vague mention of the 2 year pledge, which had already gone by then. Has this happened to anyone else? I am a bit annoyed as I had not yet finalised a decision to come off the fixed tariff as could be subject to large price increase from April. I have emailed the company about this, no reply, no acknowledgement and sent a complaint email, again with no reply. I have now calculated my own DD level and changed it
Have a read of this thread. I read it to mean you will benefit from the EPG rates until 30 March 23 then will pay no more than your fixed rates whatever happens on 1 April. You should be in a good place until your fixed tariff ends.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Thanks for that, I read it much the same, particularly as my account shows that fixed rates will apply until Aug 2023 which would be strange had I been totally switched to Next Flex. Will wait and see what happens Mar/Apr on prices and Govt assistance. It would have been nice if all those customers affected had been notified as per the link you sent me, and DD had been amended as I didn’t need to pay as much as under Online V.20. Wonder if will ever get a reply to my emails, not good customer service in my opinion! Your reply has put my mind at rest
