I'd be the first to agree with you there which is why I have never used it. I don't even bother having it. Honestly, speaking as an IT professional with over 30 years experience, there is still nothing that comes even close to a good old fashioned call to a human on the phone. Hit that phone at 9am to 0808 501 5200 and you'll be through in about 20 minutes.
Did those steps I gave you get the gas to flow again?
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie I still have no gas. I followed the latest EON agent instructions and it did not work. Apparently they have a fix for me tomorrow. Hahaha.. if only. I have some kind friends that let me stay at their house overnight.
@retrotecchie yesterday evenings attempt to fix things may have worked. Meter says £3.28 owed. £20.48 EmCr accepted. I’m not entirely sure what that means. But have removed the £60 debt 👍🏼
That sounds more like it. It's possible that one of the attempts to top up sort of registered, but not properly, and the £3.28 was just what the meter had racked up in standing charges since the last attempt. But have you got the gas flowing again? That's the bit I was really worried about. Sure, the debt needed sorting, but easier to deal with that when your teeth aren't chattering because you have no heating 🙄
Phew...honestly, I was laying awake at night worrying. I know you had somewhere to stay, but it wasn't a solution. Fingers crossed going forward, you'll be sorted now.
