If it was not bad enough me getting multiple readings taken and multiple bills each month when it should just be 2 readings and 1 bill per month totally messing my mental health up even further.
NOW i am getting charged for gas i have not even used between the hours of Midnight and 8am in a morning.
Twice this has happened this week so far.
1- was for around 60 pence and 2nd on this morning was for over a £1.
Now i know some of you out there will say or think that's not much BUT when you are only on benefits these sort of charges add up.
My mental health is bad enough as it is without these things adding to them.
So can someone from eon next please contact me asap before i totally lose it.
@Karln is this on your IHD?
Your standing charge is displayed on your IHD each day whether you are using energy or not. The daily standing charge is added at around midnight each day.
On top of this it can take a while for the IHD to sync with the meters properly, especially if you have had them installed recently.
And the second question? There is obviously a reason for the indications you are getting. I advise people to consider their readings on the IHD as merely information to try to help(!), but billing is not carried out through the IHD, it stems from your online account and the readings there. As i've said numerous times I don't hae, and don't want a smart meter, but recognise that other people find them useful.
Hence Why I ask about your gas appliances. If for instance you had a combi boiler and it came on occasionally to keep the internal supply of hot water hot, it would use gas without you actually knowing unless you were next to it when it fires up. So there could be reasons for what you are experiencing, but if you do not provide information we can only guess at what the cause might be.
There will be an explanation, we just need some information to help explain.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
You may need to wait, but you will be able to speak to one.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
These issues with your metering and bill payment have been going on a long time now judging by your previous posts.
Have you made a formal complaint recently? IF not, I would suggest doing that - but keep to the facts and emphasise how much anxiety this is causing you.
And keep on raising complaints until they fix it for good. We as volunteers can sympathise but we can't access your accounts or change anything. While complaints here do get relayed on within E.On Next, and that may, in time, achieve some system change, that is of no immediate help to you.
If the charges you're seeing do include the standing charges as Beki's message suggests, that could account for a good chunk of them. It depends what tariff you're on, but for me on Next Flex the daily SC for gas is just over 30p and for electricity is just under 50p - so about 80p a day before any energy use is added. I hope you get to the bottom of it, whatever it relates to.
